By Romania’s veterinary authorities are drawing up a detailed action plan for vaccination against the Peste des petits ruminants (PPR), after receiving the European Commission’s approval in principle. The document has been formally sent for review to the EU’s Emergency Veterinary Team (EuVet), the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) said on Tuesday.
ANSVSA president Alexandru Nicolae Bociu and acting Agriculture Minister Tanczos Barna chaired on Tuesday, at the Institute for Diagnosis and Animal Health (IDSA), a meeting focused on implementing the PPR vaccination strategy.
