By Senate President Mircea Abrudean met on Tuesday with the new US Ambassador to Romania, Darryl Nirenberg, with discussions aimed at the collaboration for strengthening the Strategic Partnership between the US and Romania, according to Agerpres.
„An ambassador of dialogue and strategic cooperation. This is what I felt His Excellency Darryl Nirenberg, the United States Ambassador to Romania, is and will be during his mandate here. He is well acquainted with the values that define this region, has East European origins and worked with the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations during the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Romanian Revolution,” Abrudean wrote on his Facebook page.
The President of the Senate said that Romania is one of the important allies of the US in the region.
