Interim Transport Minister Miruta: No risk to disconnect metro from electricity supply

Interim Transport Minister Radu Miruta said there was no risk of the metro being disconnected from the electricity supply.

„Obviously, Metrorex is obliged to pay its electricity bill. At present, there is no risk whatsoever of the metro being disconnected from the electricity supply. I am aware of this issue. I spoke to Mr Plaveti, the director of Hidroelectrica. I also spoke to the people at Metrorex. For the past two days, since these latest discussions took place, payments have been made every day so that the outstanding amount, which is being paid in instalments, can be reduced.
