President Nicusor Dan will underline the need to strengthen air and maritime defence at Wednesday’s NATO Summit and will support reinforcing the Alliance’s defence and deterrence posture on the Eastern Flank.
The head of state arrived in Ankara on Tuesday evening, where he met Allied leaders at a reception and dinner hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan.
On Wednesday, the President of Türkiye and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will welcome Allied leaders at the opening of the Summit.
During the high-level meeting, President Nicusor Dan will underline the importance of continued Allied support for security in the Black Sea region and of strengthening the deterrence and defence posture across the Eastern Flank in a unified manner, the Presidential Administration said ahead of the meeting.
