ForMin Toiu:Crisis peak has passed, at least from the perspective of Romanian citizens’ assistance requests

Foreign Affairs Minister Oana Toiu said on Wednesday that, regarding the situation in the Middle East, ‘the peak of the crisis has passed,’ at least from the perspective of assistance requests made by Romanian citizens. According to her, so far there is no information about Romanians having become victims of the conflict.

‘Regarding developments in the Middle East, we are at a moment when the peak of the crisis has passed, at least from the perspective of Romanian citizens’ requests for assistance. At this moment, more than 5,700 Romanian citizens have safely returned to the territory of Romania. We reiterate the most important information we communicate daily to the general public, namely that from the consular assistance requests and the notifications we receive from the authorities of the countries in the region, up to this moment we have no information about any Romanian being injured and no information about any Romanian who has become a victim of the conflict.
