By USR: Gov’t has swollen with thousands of employees since PSD, PNL have been at rule
The Social Democratic Party (PSD) – National Liberal Party (PNL) government „has swollen” with thousands of employees since the PSD and PNL have been at rule, say representatives of the Save Romania Union (USR) on Tuesday, who are asking Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu to „stop hiring politicians and wasting public money.”
According to them, „only in July 2023, while PSD Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu promised to reduce public spending, 150 people were hired at the General Secretariat of the Government, compared to June 2023.”
In July 2023, USR adds, there are 500 more employees at the Ministry of Investment and European Projects and at the Ministry of Finance than a year ago (July 2022), while there are big delays in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) reforms, and the state budget revenues are disastrous even…
